Whether you are holding your positive pregnancy test or just a few weeks away from holding your baby in your arms, I am looking forward to meeting with you and discussing how I can help you on this journey.
Are you looking for support through a difficult pregnancy?
Are you hoping to have an experienced guide by your side as you prepare for and go through labor?
Are you home with your new baby overwhelmed by everything becoming a parent entails?
Let's end the script of you doing hard things all alone. Let's end the scary thoughts and questions revolving around your impending birth. Let's put a stop to the lack of time a new mother has to do something as simple as take a shower or feed herself nutritious food.
Pregnancy, birth, and those initial phases with a newborn can take a toll on parents - in so many ways that we don't consider. Navigating pregnancy and life with a newborn can make us feel overwhelmingly busy and intensely isolated at the same time.
As a doula, my aim is to listen to and help guide each individual on their own personal journey of pregnancy, birth, or postpartum with an experience that is safe, fulfilling, and meaningful. I commit to walking beside you, present in each moment with love and compassion, as a support that so many new parents lack in this modern age.
The experience of pregnancy and birth has evolved over the years, especially in today’s modern era. In my work as a doula for almost a decade, I have seen an apparent need for caring, sensitive and knowledgeable support, sometimes more at one stage than another. As a certified doula, I feel honored to be able to contribute my expertise to families in the Central PA area.
I pride myself in providing you and your partner with care, understanding, information and support before, throughout, and after the birthing process. Our initial meeting will help me tailor what I offer to fit your needs, as everyone's desires are different. To schedule an initial consultation, or to learn more about my practice, please contact me.
In some cases, pregnancy isn't everything we hoped it would be. I offer personal support to mothers on bed rest, with chronic illness, struggling with hyperemesis, or even mothers that just need a helping hand throughout the entirety of their journey. I stay in close contact in order to routinely check how you’re doing and offer my time to help as needed.
Whether at home, hospital, or birth center, as a doula, I promise to offer unwavering support to you and your family throughout the birth process. From our initial meeting all the way through your pregnancy and delivery, I take the time to get to know you, your concerns and your needs. I’m available to contact by phone/email and will provide everything you require to make sure your experience is as positive as possible.
You just gave birth, you are home from the hospital, sleep-deprived and trying to heal. You don't feel like yourself and this parenting gig is a lot harder than you thought it would be. Sound familiar? As a postpartum doula, I am committed to your health and the wellbeing of your growing family. I offer help in the areas YOU most need it - from laundry to helping with your newborn - I plug in where you most feel a lack of support.
I’m proud to have received wonderful feedback from local families I have worked with.
For me, the most rewarding part of the job is getting to help parents feel confident in their choices.
"Her kind, gentle, relaxed spirit was exactly what my husband and I needed. Not only is she knowledgeable and helpful in the birthing, medical, natural questions of the world ... She was very comfortable and quite supportive in letting us make the decisions that best suited our needs."
"Christi is immensely calm, gentle, knowledgeable, and kind; and her talents touched our entire family. She went above and beyond my needs all the time."
"If you are looking for a nurturing guide who is wise and experienced beyond her years, to walk with you through a most natural and beautiful birthing experience, definitely invite Christi on the path with you."
"Good things come to those who wait"
